    GOLD Coolant vs. GREEN Coolant

Gold doesn't need DCA4.....Green does. If you add coolant additive to a HOAT type ELC you will have problems. If you have more than 45K miles you need to change your coolant anyway.

TRUCK WONT START NEED HELP FAST

Is your SES light on? If you leave the drain valve open and cycle the key to turn the FP on, does fuel come out the drain tube from the filter housing? If not, remove the quick disconnect hose on the outlet of the pump and clamp a piece of hose and route it to a bucket. Cycle the key to...

    GOLD Coolant vs. GREEN Coolant

Green and Gold are two different coolants and have different colors that are noticeable. From my understanding OEM used the Premium Gold ELC since 2002.

    GOLD Coolant vs. GREEN Coolant

 In your other thread you said you have green. Which is it, green or gold? If you do have the gold(yellow) coolant then added DCA4 to it you need a FULL flush. The spec you posted already has the additive in it and it's not the same additive that goes in the "green"...

how to change the oil sensor in the HPOP?

It's on the top of the reservoir on the cover. It's visible in posted pic in line with the sensor at the very bottom of the pic. You have to suck out the oil with the syringe and tubing.

    4" downpipe and manual transmissions......

My 4" MBRP downpipe barely touches the starter ear on the bellhousing of the tranny. It's nothing that a slight ding with a BFH would solve but I'm too lazy to pull the DP, besides I don't hear any rattle. When I posted this elsewhere, Dave Meheen from DPP posted that there's only one...

how to change the oil sensor in the HPOP?

Only way to know for sure is to have a scan tool reading the EOT PID when it's cold. See what it says then watch it as it warms up. An Edge Evolution can also watch the EOT PID if you know anyone with one. If you do change it, you'll want to drain the HPOP reservoir. I use an old syringe...

    Anti-cavitation

From what I can find on the net, Shell makes the Fleetrite ELC. They both fall under the category of Heavy Duty ELC I think. The OEM gold stuff doesn't even come close to mileage of the Shell or Fleetrite ELC. :roflmao

    GOLD Coolant vs. GREEN Coolant

For an equivalent to the Ford "gold" just look at the rating...G-05...color makes NO difference. Zerex makes a G-05 Zerex G-05, I'm sure there are others, like I said before, Chrysler's ELC is same rating but different color.

    GOLD Coolant vs. GREEN Coolant

"Green" is the low silicate ethylene glycol base that requires coolant additive for cavitation prevention. "Gold" came from what Ford calls their extended life coolant, ford premium gold coolant. It's a G-05 rating HOAT base. The G-05 rating can be found in an array of colors other that gold...

    code u1262

I use auto detect. I don't remember which one shows up once it's detected. Which version are you using? I'm assuming 4.3 or higher since you are using non-OBDII initialization. Older versions had a "Powerstroke" initialization but now we use the one you have selected. So all that seems...

    code u1262

When I pull up that code on my AE it gives the same description but without the "intr clustr" part. It may be something with the OBD port. If you watch the initialization process when it finds the port I think the type Ford uses is J1850***. Can't really remember. If you look under the...

    INTERCOOLERS

You'll need to measure the inlet and outlet of the 6.0 CAC. IIRC, most have 3.25" on one side and 3" on the other. These are the hoses are I used, one 3x3x8 and one 3.25x3x8. Made install easy. I actually got the hose kit that replaced all the hoses. From Here
