What do you guys think about Hypertec Hyperpac?

Ummmm....because he's already got some tunes that he's pleased with for now and if he doesn't have the money for the other parts of the Hyperpac what makes you think he has money for a PCM. Not everyone has to use Jody!

    Lets Talk Trailers

I know we are all big boys here and just wanted to throw this out there... 40' or 50' trailers will have ALOT of pin weight, with that alone you prolly don't have enough truck with your 250 to be legal. 20K is the max GCWR in my owner's manual. The weight of your trailer is going to...

    Automated BioDiesel Processor

That's not good!:cussing: If we want widespread approval of BD all processors sold need to produce ASTM quality fuel.

    shimmed my fpr...

Yes the DI housing will work without a spring. I ran mine that way once. You need to make sure the shim is seated in the recess. If it gets cocked in there it will increase the pressure. Also there's the possibility that the housing was machined wrong. I would check it without a shim...

Price of beer is going up

At the price of corn these days I'd plant corn if we had enough water! Too bad cattle feed is going up too since. We're going to try our hand at some soy beans next year, hopefully get a biodiesel feedstock contract!:sly Where'd you get this info? Corn doesn't go in the ground...

Rough start after new GPR and Oil Temp Sensor

Where are you? Maybe someone close with a scan tool can help you, that way you don't just throw parts at it. I would say it's prolly the ICP sensor or IPR valve but sensors aren't returnable and I would much rather know what the HPOP pressure is during cranking. You could also do that with...

    Turbo whistle under load?

Sounds like a boost leak to me. Check anywhere that has rubber hoses with t-bolt clamps to connect the metal tubes. If the hoses are oily it's normal from crankcase vent and they are prolly oil soaked and leaking. You can try tightening them first but it may take removal and cleaning of the...

    P1211 code

The 1211 code is set from your high pressure oil pump not being able to keep up with what your programming is calling for. What program were you in? You'll need to find out what the ICP is when you are setting the code using a scan tool or a mechanical gauge tied into you high pressure oil...

    coolant filter thoughts

Bob is dieselsite. I got his coolant filter setup to and had to hack up my stock airbox becuase the filter body was rubbing the upper radiator hose. So I had to modify the holes on the bracket and notch the airbox to rotate the bracket so it wouldn't rub the hose. If you will...

    I'm a Diesel Injection Specialist!

Thanks guys! Robert, the cattle will still be cared for. I just may have to use headlights to feed them. Weekends will be busier too. Peter, I'll be down there for a week of training some time in March. They are sending me there instead of out of state. LOL...Bryan...

    I'm a Diesel Injection Specialist!

Well I had an interview this morning and got a call by 12:45pm. I'm the newest member of Taylor Diesel Injection family.:thumbs I'll be rebuilding p-pumps mainly and maybe get to work some injectors. I'll have to go to either Missouri or Tennessee for training for a week. I start March...

    What is the deal

My bad....if you look I wrote IIRC(if I remember correctly.) Well I didn't. I don't have a door sticker(body shop failed to replace) but I have done some reading elswhere. GVWR is 9900lbs from what I've read. I think my truck weighs around 7000lbs being a 2wd SC not a CC, not sure when...

    P0284 trouble code

In order to check wiring you need to run an "injector buzz" test. It will buzz all the injectors and then one at a time. If #8 has a wiring prob it will buzz all the others to not cause damage to the IDM. 2000 model year was when they started to install the LL. You may or may not have it.

    P0284 trouble code

Your injector could be bad. The tech is right about number 8 being back driver's side. If you don't wanna buy an injector you could try to swap plugs from the harness with the adjacent cylinder or swap injectors all together with another cylinder to see if the fault follows that injector...

    What is the deal

Well I know my F-250 can have a total GCWR(gross combined weight rating) of 20K lbs. 10Klbs max trailer if you go by the book. I believe the max GVWR (no trailer) is 12,500lbs. So with a guess of 7000lb truck I have a "payload" of 5500lbs.

    chips. ;)

Watch out with all the greenie granola's down there in Austin. Seems several there and in Houston have had fun reporting vehicles to smokingvehicle.org. Smoke is cool on the strip or at the pulls. Don't fog out the wrong person and hurt our oil burners reputation even more.:( As for...

    Van Turbo Rehash

Bean's Turbo Stuff I don't have a van turbo but I did swap to a non-wastegated 1.0 ex. housing. It came with the adaptor and is non-WG like the van turbo. Bean's has everything you need including a rebuild kit if you want. How much end play does it have? If not any then I'd prolly leave...
