I was under the impression that HID bulbs required a projector type headlight and couldn't just be puting into a halogen bulb reflector housing....? with any halogen housing, which you *can* just stick an HID bulb in there, but any OEM HID headlight uses a projector housing to achieve the...- paulkeith

opinions: F250 vs. F350
IIRC, The 250 has 2" blocks, the 350 has 3" you can get the same spring pack on the 250 as the 350 (ie...my 250 has the overload spring) the front and rear axles are the same in the 250 and 350, except for the rear axle in a dually 350, obviously. starting 2002 they went to a "true"...- paulkeith

ok, that might make a little more sense. carriers do have to change with certain ratio changes because the thickness of the ring gear will change a certain amount, to the point where the right ring gera is either too thick or too thin. i'm not sure on the price of a carrier, but they...- paulkeith

how much of that is parts, and how much is labor? i'd say about ~$500 labor is the max you want to do, and if he's charging you $1000 in parts for a common ratio on ONE axle....i'd look for a new shop. Paul- paulkeith

many questions, power loss, oil leaks...
sup fellas, on friday, it was about 15 degrees in ATL, and started the truck at about 5 am with almost no trouble. drove it for about 20 minutes, and shut it down until 9 am. at 9, it didn't start on the first try. second try it fired up, but was missing pretty bad. settled down and ran...- paulkeith

Sticky Steering
i'm not sure how long you've owned the truck or if you had someone work on the steering recently, but... yes, the boxes can be adjusted for slop. the adjustment alters the spacing between gears, and if adjusted too far, can press the gears against each other too hard and cause binding...- paulkeith
