Found some front end Zerts on the 06!

i'm pretty sure that means they're not stock ujoints, unless they moved to greaseable units in later years. Oh, friendly heads up, they're "Zerk" fittings, named after oscar zerk, who invented the thing...

    Project Performance Street Truck

Damn skippy, hahah. Gotta make sure none of us keyboard fabbers can find fault in your fab work. Few more questions...How did you align the frame after you cut it? How are you going to link it? Why haven't you settled on linking the front too? This thread is worthless without pics!

    DIY Tint done... results, thoughts

thanks for the compliments. Yeah, when peeling the film it was pretty quick to roll back into itself. I thought I was gonna have a mess on my hands, but with the soap on there it didn't stick to itself. I'll try to take some more pics showing a little better detail.

    DIY Tint done... results, thoughts

Well, some of you might remember I asked if anyone had ever tried to do tint themselves... the responses were kind of mixed, but I figured what the hell and went for it. I bought 35% HP Smoke tint film from Window Tinting at SnapTint.com. the pieces come pre-cut to the window and fit...

    Erratic Boost/Possible Defueling While Towing

so the wastegate begins relieving drive pressure at 16lbs of boost? still doesn't explain why you weren't coming out of OD if you floor it at 55mph

    Project Performance Street Truck

definitely get some fish plates on the sides of those butt welds. you would've been better off cutting the frame into a notch type shape instead, especially considering the cut is inbetween the mounts for the rear leafs, but it should be ok as long as you get some fish plates over the weld to...

    Boost Gauge Flutter?

removing and reinstalling the IC tubes with a good seal is extremely simple and nothing to worry about. However, your simplest solution is to put a boost fitting into a the plug you use for your AIH delete. Drilling is done away from the motor so shavings and cleaning are of no concern...

    Our project truck

nice conversion. the rest of that truck made me throw up in my mouth a little. looks like someone drove it through JCWhitney with the magnet turned on. for all you naysayers, don't forget ford puts cummins motors in the 650s and up. The only people that think 7.3s and 6.0s are better motors...

flushed sail panel tweeter mounts, components install, dailup run and hide

yeah, i was looking through them and saw you started over. I went for aiming at the seat on that side, rather than crossing. Probably could've got away with less plastic if I did the cross. later, Paul

flushed sail panel tweeter mounts, components install, dailup run and hide

i hate you...haha. we need some flipoff2's around here damn, i like yours better. I had mine sanded really well, but decided to go with the really textured paint. I'm kind of regretting it now, its a little bit too much texture i think. I like your tweeter location better too. I went the...

    Some pics

photobucket limits you to 1024x768, but that's ok to keep the bandwidth down and the side-to-side scrolling to a minimum for people with less than a 17" monitor. What's with the d ring shackles?

    crash bar...

yeah, true. that's my main issue...but i honestly don't think that little bar is going to make it go one way or another. we have to be more careful than most drivers in the first place. thanks fellas. keep the thoughts coming.

Double DIN install kit...02 superduty opening the same as 04?

so where's the trimming? the top of the opening is level with the air vents in both pics, bottom doesn't have anywhere to go...right? or my eyes tricking me

    crash bar...

not sure what year it was added, but i guess sometime in 00 or 01 or 02, ford added the crash bar and lower trim to the front bumper just below the front spring mounts. I want to remove mine. Any drawbacks? The way I see it, it may cause me to go OVER a honda, instead of transferring all...

Double DIN install kit...02 superduty opening the same as 04?

<hijack> what is in your power outlet? volt meter? did that pad in the cubby next to the adjustable pedal switch come with your truck? looks like it did. mine doesn't have that, and any time i keep stuff in there, my dptuner makes it fall back out :( </hijack>
