    Checked for broken or loose lines but from switch to hubs it holds vacuum. If the switch has 3 wires and the middle is hot is one ground and one switched 12v?

    Changed out the rear end grease with some royal purple. The rear seal is starting to leak so I guess that goes on my next to fix list. Also installed a fuel pressure gauge in cab to monitor it. Have 62psi idle and 58 wot.

    10w-30 oil seems a little light to me. Temp rating is 0-50 degrees. I wouldn't tow anything with that light of oil in it if temps warm up. Most guys on here run 5w40 oils with no cold weather starting issues and you don't have to change weights for summer.

    Question Drive train problems

    Check your rear end where it bolts to the springs. If it has worked loose it may have shifted ahead. There is a centering bolt that should hold it in place but I have seen them break. Just doesn't seem right that your drive shaft grew.

    Today after work batterys read 14.1 running and 12.1 right after I shut it off. Did a little checking and they should be 12.4 or more. Have a 36month free replacement on ford oem batterys but I'm sure they will sock it to me to check and replace them.

    I was wondering what it should be not running. I get 13.8 volts running. 12.1 volts didn't seem like it should be low for a 12 volt battery but the tuner said low voltage and wouldn't load tune.

    Question on p0299 engine code

    I assume you have a 6.0 and if you do it could mean your turbo is getting sticky and not boosting properly. It needs to be removed and cleaned. Normal for this engine unless your drive it like you stole it.

    Question Emergency brake pedal stuck down - Problem is not the cable but is the mechanism.

    Try pushing down on e-brake pedal fairly hard then pull the release lever then release your foot pressure. Might be bound up with to much pressure to release normally. Ya I would be uneasy with trying to release it with any body parts in harms way too.

    Thats the one I went with. So far no problems but have less than 5k on it. Custumer service and quality was very good.

    I use this cheap socket set just for filters (Lisle 14650) that covers alot of different types of vehicles or you can get just the 36mm socket (Lisle 14500) for cheap. Lot of parts houses have them.

    Fuses just blow sometimes. Maybe your problem with your FICM weakened it and it just decided to blow. It might be good to go now.

    Who has the highest miles?

    My sons FIL has 430k on a 2000 F-250. Original glow plugs and injectors. 1 water pump 1 tranny 1 set of carrier bearings and a couple of sets of ball joints. Keeps track of fuel for every year and the last few years has averaged 17-18 mpg. Makes me want to go look for a clean low mileage 7.3
