Just wanted to thank everyone for the quick responses. Got home last night, cracked the cap on the engine filter, cycled it a few times, tightened the cap, and BAM.......fired right up. Oh well........mark one up to stupidity for not making sure the air was out!

    FLUIDAMPER

Yeah....I have been doing a bunch of reading on this also. Back in "the day" I had one of these on my old '66 Galaxy. That old cammed 390 seemed to like it. I just can't bring myself to spend $400 on something I can actually "see" every day!!

    pillar gauges

Well...I am looking for a pillar pod and gauge set. I guess the question I am asking is if I can get a quality pillar pod, gauges and installation stuff for $200 or do I have to spend the $400 to $500 I have seen on ITP's site?

    Ordered: 08 finned diff cover

All right! Got the Royal Purple from O'Reilly's. $11 a quart. I could have saved $2 a quart and either ordered it from the net or ran clear across town. I paid for the conveinience factor. Now when my cover gets here and we are good!!!!!!!! Yippee!!!! :thumbs

    Changing rear brakes

Well.....I bought the truck at 62k and it has 70k on it now. When I inspected them, they looked to me to be the originals. I don't think 70k on brakes is bad.

    Changing rear brakes

I am going to be changing front and rear pads this weekend. Do I need to screw the rear pistons in on the rear callipers to get them compressed to get the new pads in or do they just compress like the front ones? Thanks!!

Have you been to this site before?

Everyone has different needs, but for me, I could pull the dog trailer behind that thing with the sneak boat on top and hunt anywhere I wanted! :sly I don't fosee being able to do that with a coach unless I wanted to pull a truck, dog trailer and boat behind it. And like edsaws.....I like...

    Help with two mods needed...

bushpilot is right. I have the reverse sensors on mine. In the winter, they get covered up with salt/grime and are constantly "going off" because they get covered up. They are nice, but making sure you don't have anything behind you is what those big elephant ears attached to each door are...

When I bought my truck, someone had removed the stock jack and accessories......not that they work worth a crap anyway. I am going to be doing a lot of traveling this year and want to have a jack that will actually lift my truck with and not break under this hog!! I have been looking at the...

    FS-2500 bypass filter system

GREAT WRITE UP!!!!! The only thing I don't like about that system is running the hose to the oil drain on the oil pan. I just don't like the idea of that hanging down there. I do really like the system and the braided lines though. Again....nice work Scot!! :thumbs

    FS-2500 bypass filter system

Yeah....I called them yesterdy and they are going to the same set up as the Oilguard and the Amsoil with the replacement caps. I can buy the filter canister cheap but they want $250 for just the hoses and caps!!!
