Now, DPantazis and I have been friends for over ten years now, having met here when the board was in more of a hayday and the 7.3 was still a viable platform..
So he calls me last night to discuss an issue he's been having with his '00 not communicating, generating weird random codes, running...
well, there is "driven easy" and then there is "babied"
same as there is "driven normally" and then there is "beat on"
Last thing you want to do to a 6.0 is beat the piss out of it.
Keeping up with traffic is one thing.. treating traffic like the 24Hrs of LeMans is something else.
I checked Identifix real quick.. there do not appear to be any TSB's on this, but a symptom search "fuel leak" brings up a string or repairs concerning leaking injectors, and every one of them has you pulling the valve covers and inspecting the lines first.
I wish I would have had time to come in out of the cold over the winter and read this..
I have two extra sets of Warns, one heavy duty, the other standard duty. Each one has one blown up hub in it in pieces.
The sensor in the pig is common, but what a lot of guys fail to check is the connector itself. The wires can fail in the insulation breaking contact. I've seen it more than once.
missed it. Called the guy, "well, I think it's sold."
Guy calls me back about 9:00 that night, sounds like he's been tipping a few back, "nah, the deal fell through."
I called at 9:00 the next morning, "yeah, I sold it last night."
Shyster.
Thinking of making it Superduty #3
My '99, eldest daughter's '01, this would be the youngest daughter's..

When a bunch of sensors or devices share a common ground, it's really not all that uncommon.
I can name a couple of things off the top of my head. GM has a 141 page TSB out on their CAN network in the trucks, and I can recall the old 3.1 Chevy's that would short an injector and shut the whole...
Well, according to Identifix, P1211 (IPR) and P0603 (CPS) are the number 2 & number 3 searches for this year/make/model.
P0122 (Accelerator Pedal Position) is another common code/issue.
Given the programmer, and your report that it's worse with the tuner on Performance, I'd have to say it's the...
might want to use an algaecide if it's going to sit in a tank for six months..
Microbial growth is what causes gelling, not coagulation of the base stock.
I'm gonna take a stab and say it's got a vibration or skip in it when it's slightly lugged right under 2,000 rpm just under 70mph and doesn't seem so bad at higher rpms or road speed?
If so, have it scanned for codes.. five bucks says it's got a #8 injector fault of some type. Don't sweat it...
