    Normal EGT readings

Sounds a little high for just cruisin'. My truck usually runs about 450-550 doin' that speed empty. I have my sending unit post turbo but I don't think there should be that much of a difference between that and in the manifold.

    Need help now!!

You don't have to drop your tank. Stick a syphon hose in the tank and drain into some jerry cans ( 5 should just about do). After that open up the drain in the fuel bowl and cycle the pump a few times. Then fill the truck up to top with DIESEL FUEL and cycle the pump a few more times making...

    The Best Leveling Kit?

Air bags in the rear a pretty decent for leveling. My old man has them on his SDD work truck. He loads the crap out of that thing with 200 gall of water and 100 gal of diesel in another tank, and various other parts to fill the rest of the space in the 8' box, plus towing a 7000 lb excavator...

    Tranny temp sending unit location?

I have ass-u-me-d many things before I figured this case would be a good idea to find out if there was a plug in the tranny and what size/shape it was before I cut into the tranny line when it isn't needed.

    Tranny temp sending unit location?

I just picked up a new tranny temp guage and was wondering were everyone has there sending unit installed. I was thinking about putting it inline on the pressure side but if the tranny has a plug I will go that way.:)

    03-04 6.0 ???

I guess just the amount of problems the bad ones had were to blame for the bad name of the 6.0L. That is why I bought a 7.3L. I knew the 6.0's had more jam but I did not want to take the chance in so many spendy repairs if the truck was off warrenty. I have had problems with my 7.3L, but they...

    Batteries?

What kind of tester did he use cause the one's I've seen show you what percentage of power the battery is puting out compared to what it is supposed to. So if your battery is a 750cca and it is 34% good then it would only be putting out approx. 265cca and the one 54% good would put out 405cca...

    Batteries?

I agree, get a set of glass matt batteries like an optima I love my batteries I had one tested and it came out to put out 950 cca's ( rated for 850cca) and it needed a charge. They crank the duty over like nothin. Don't buy a motorcraft they are garbage, 3 years and mine were shot. My buddy...

    P1211 code

I had it on the highest setting. I thought that there was a few things that would set off the code besides oil pressure. Like low fuel pressure, no fuel, wrong oil etc. I'm going to get a fuel pressure gauge and rule the fuel part out. Hopefully it's not time for a new HPOP.

    P1211 code

I keep on getting a p1211 code usually when I have a bit of wieght on the truck and start to pull hills. Is there any other filters or screens beside the one on the top of the engine and the screens in the mixing chamber? Is this code possible from the tuner? I have already changed oil (shell...

    Auto Hubs!!!

Yes, your tires should spin seperately from your axles. Having it in 2wd with auto hubs should be the same as unlocking manual hubs. I have never checked mine but that is how they should work. Also are they maybe in the manual position, I know I can't see the writing on mine to tell wether...

    stupid question?

If you popped a fusible link you may have issues else-where. DO NOT however leave out the fusible link something somewhere else WILL melt and maybe start a fire. If a fuse/ fusable link goes that means that what the power is going too is drawing too much amperage or has grounded itself out...

Priming a diesel that has run out of fuel.

Me and my old man do the same thing on our 88 7.3L work truck when she runs out of fuel (it has a stock air valve on top of the filter). There is now way at all you will pressurize a rag enough to blow anything out, but it does get the fuel to the filter.

Ford SD in a Tundra video

And what toyota didn't show you was the tow bar on the front of the SD that got hooked onto the back of the trailor to push it and the tundra up the see-saw and then stop them on the way down the other side.:D

    legal weight

Legally I think you can HAUL ASSH. LOL :D Actually you should call your local transportation authority if you really want to be on the safe side. Here it is what wieght rating of licence you have and/or how much weight you have the vehicle licenced for (you can licence a vehicle over it's...

    Looking for u-bolt part number

If you get U-bolts from the dealer you will probably pay out the ass for them. If you measure them up (length X width X rod thickness) then you can call your local tractor trailor shop and they should make them. I've gotten tons of them made up for various trucks and trailors that I have...
