    Normal Pyro Temps????

Depending on were they are getting there readings from. I just changed my autometer pyro from post turbo to pre turbo and noticed a huge difference in the way the pyro read and reacted. After I put it in the manifold I now see up to 1300 f and temps rise and lower much faster. Temps at 60 are...

    suspension swap?

I'm looking at a 6" lift for my truck and I have a line on a decent priced lift. Problem is it is for an 05' truck with the coil overs. My question.... is it possible to do the suspension swap or just not worth the time and effort? I would like to have the better ride of a coil over.:sweet

    Similar Question to Crumm Plumber?

Glad to hear you got it figured out.:sweet When go to get all the new pieces make sure you get them in brass or stainless steel. That galvanized stuff is crap and I'll never use it on any system I intall.

    Similar Question to Crumm Plumber?

Have you checked the level of water in your well lately? If your well is low on water you may be picking up a bit of air and that air going through the system would seem like a spike in the water pressure. Don't rely on those pressure gauges they are all cheap pieces of crap.

    Similar Question to Crumm Plumber?

Sometimes people put one in the house too so they don't drain the pressure tank when doing repair in the well. If it is a submersible pump most of them come with built in check valves, but if it didn't then the pump installer should have put one on.

    Similar Question to Crumm Plumber?

Like Crumm said, there should be a check valve on top of the pump if it is a submersible. If the pressure is draining off I would check there first. You'll have to pull the pump out of the well to do this.

Is there a plumber in the house?

O sorry, I just read your other post and it shouldn't matter where the pressure switch is situated as when you are pressurizing the tank the whole line from the pump to the house also builds up pressure. Ideally closer to the tank is prefered as there is some line pressure loss futher down the...

Is there a plumber in the house?

Crumm, I insall and work on these things every day. If your pump is costantly cutting in and out rapidly it is a pressure tank problem. Your air pressure on the top of your tank should be two lbs below your water cut in pressure. If it doesn't hold pressure your tank is toast, buy a new one...

    EGT acceptable range?

That sounds like alot still but I have been running the same set up for quite some time and haven't had any probs yet plus I put in the 4" exhaust which is supposed to lower the egt's. I usally don't run it that high for too long. If I got a better flowing intake would that help my exaust...

    EGT acceptable range?

Ok, so I just got my 4" stainless exhaust put on and switched my egt probe over to my manifold from the down pipe. I was gettin' heavy on the happy pedal the other day and looked down and my egt was readin' 1300f. Well needless to say I backed off. Now I have been running this set up for...

Who runs WVO or B100 in PSD

I have been running a type of bio-diesel for about 1.5 years now. I do not mix my WVO with methanol, but a mixture of kerosene, gasoline and a couple other ingredients to use up all of the WVO. My truck runs great on it and I have had no problems as far as the engine running on it, unless I...

    Got an '08 mirror on!

How much nicer are they with the vision on the small convex mirror. I know that the little mirrors on my 03' are just about useless backing into a parking spot to see the lines. The tow mirrors are out so far that it is sometimes hard to see if there is a vehicle beside me. And are they just...

    Batteries

I got a set of optima red tops this winter and they are supposed to be the cats ass from what I hear from a buddy of mine. They are supposed to last quite long and they don't corrode on the batt posts like regular batts do. I will have to test them out this summer with it hooked to the trailer...

    4 or 5 inch exhaust???

I wouldn't bother gettin the 5" unless you can find it in stainless. I guess it would be just for the look of the large exhaust and and to say "I have 5" exahust on my truck", that would be it. I just ordered 4" stainless but I don't plan on puttin' out over 500hp either and I wanted the...

    Air filter gauge thingy

I must say I would not go by those at all. I tested the one one my 97 chev and the only time it showed "the filter was clogged" was when I put my hand over the intake slowly and then finally stalled the motor. I don't think that the ford ones would be much better.

    Turbo Spool Up

I can hear my turbo spool all the time. It is not annoying at all, I actually wish it was louder. My old man 99 makes all kinds of noise when the turbo spools but he has a cab from a SD that had a triton V8 in it so it doesn't have all the sound barriers in it.:D

Went out with a buddy of mine in his 6.4L work truck with a job box today and I must say that thing is damb quiet, I could hardly hear it at all. The over-all look of the interior was pretty good and the power was very nice, the thing pulled quite well, it was very smooth. The only thing I...

    BTS tranny?

Now that is what I am talkin about. Service and reliabilaty are so rare to find nowadays. If I had a stock truck I would stick my tranny rebuilder in town and maybe get a few upgrades for it but it would not last as long a BTS i'm sure. Don't get me wrong my tranny guy has been great for me...

    Running issues after straight piping.

Removing the cat and muffler should not have an effect on the way the truck runs beside making the exhaust flow better. You have an intermittent problem so the exhaust couldn't be the problem. You're exhast back pressure sensor runs you're exhaust back pressure valve for warm up on cold days
