    i saw a post somewhere, and the guy had tested the higher voltages, and the injectors actually handled it but the opening time of the injectors had "capped out" so the extra voltage was pointless. he was monitoring the opening time, solenoid and idm temperature, as well as the wiring temp.

    the idm uses 100volts to fire the injectors. the idm mod is simply the replacement of a resistor, to make the idm fire the injectors with 140volts. this makes the injectors open faster, and ultimately stay open longer. check out these links for a little more info....     Powerstroke Diesel IDM mod gone bad symptoms basically would be when injectors stop firing, wich could be caused by other things as well.

    what truck do you have? i KNOW its plug and play on the OBS! also, its extremely accessible on the OBS, 4 bolts and one plug, right out in the open on the drivers inner fender. what was the problem they were diagnosing?

    is it pulling to the left, or is the wheel just aimed to the right? if the steering wheel is to the right, there is an alignment issue. if its pulling (you let go of the wheel and it veers into oncoming traffic) you could have dragging brakes (service OR park), tire pressures could be way off...

    thats exactly right! also, many buildings are so big that heat and ac arent the issue, its just moving the air to keep it from getting stale from 1000+ people breathing with no open windows! its not unheard of for a company to cancel work because an air handler went down.

    our demographics are way different, but around here trucks arent keeping people employed, however HVAC is in HUGE demand. mainly there are job openings for in house maintenance people at all of the big office or manufacturing buildings.

    big day for the OBS..... - installed a full headache rack - changed oil/filter and fuel filter - CCV MOD!!! - changed air filter
