a utility company bought a bunch of CNG trucks from us, and didnt keep them in service for a full year......no range, trucks were always being towed to the nearest filling station. i have dealt with a few mercedes sprinter vans that had a DC motors slipped between the engine and transmission...- Zookie400

scientists have not found that number yet :D i have 216k on mine, i have replaced starter, alternator, vac. pump, and the oil pan is very badly rotted and next on the list. this will be my last truck :D- Zookie400

Brakes!!
are you sure they are warped, or could they be getting rust lines where the pads rest overnight....i am battling that problem now. feels just like a warped rotor. i think its because i have no dust shields.- Zookie400

dont worry, it did! they never got it running well enough to effectively run the truck down the road. the high pressure fuel wasnt the big problem though. the egr running directly into the vac ports is what did the real damage. 100% wiring by aaron and alden (me and my brother). we scavenged...- Zookie400

thats my brothers first ride (although he has been taking mom's car until this is done) we took 100% of the wiring inside and out and started from scratch. the PO had taken the efi off and set it all on the fender. they put the carb on, but tried to tune it with 70psi of efi fuel pressure...- Zookie400

2 questions- how often are you changing your fuel filter since you are running mass quantities of clutch material through it? 7- 7.3's, using ~20 gallons per week of fuel each, 50/50 mix would be 10 gallons of used atf EACH......................where are you guys coming up with approx. 70...- Zookie400

anybody!! how to improve MPG on llifted truck
we sold a bunch of CNG trucks to a utility company.......they were decommissioned before the first year. CNG has HORRIBLE mileage. they were always running out of fuel out on the road, and needing to get towed. propane, i think is better but im still not sold on it. the way i see it, if propane...- Zookie400
