    fork and bearing were changed with with clutch also. no grinding or hard shifting just slipping on excellerating between 70 and 80 at 2000 rpm jumps to 2800 rpm then speed starts to climb.

    I tried a buddys code reader on my f 350 srw and it said no codes stored even though the lite was on so I called the tech line and the guy said that 99 f350 were not odb2 compliant because it was over 8000# gross weight does any one know this is fact or was the guy on the phone blowing smoke...

    ken i am in the same boat just posted it in ex forum seals are dealer item not a bad job to do yourself outer seal is 40.00 bucks you have to pull axle half shaft and bearing so check the intermediate seal also mine was toast along with bearing hub 315.00 at O'reillys
