    oil leak

    yep, but when i can i fix things myself, prefer to do it that way, if its a cheap o ring or something. Its just me, but i feel, i take better care of my truck then others do.

    oil leak

    i have a small oil leak on drivers side rear, seems to be coming from side of head or back valve cover? It runs down the outer most edge of the cylinder head? any sensors or anything to leak around there? :hail

    6.0 crankshafts?

    I was just talking to a guy who hauls cars for a living, he mentioned he was looking for a truck but said that the 6.0 motors that he is aware of has had snapped cranks? I have not heard of that? i am sure anything is possible. Any one heard of people that work these having crank issues?? thanks

    no egr cooler

    i was speaking with a guy, he stated i could if i wanted to remove the egr cooler and use a 3/4 heater hose and connect from the oil cooler to the intake and delete the egr cooler.. (as long as i blocked off or removed all egr on the truck.) is this possible? thanks

    a lot of these guys are more knowledgable than me, if an egr is sticking it can cause a funny idle. Try unplugging the egr briefly, make sure the key is off so it will be closed. Then see if it idles more consistent. it may idle a fraction louder and rougher but will still be fine. If that...

    wondering, i have read the threads on the hpop tsb's. for 05 and now the real new one. Was this also applicable towards 03 and 04 trucks? did just the 05 and up just have to deal with the hpop issues? If the 03 and 04 did not need any fixing there, what was done different? thanks

    go with what you like, I have nitto tires and like them. An all terrain tire will ride smoother and quieter than a mud tire.Mud tires look cooler. find a nice set of used ones. Lots out there. Lots of nice looking rims. If it were me, i would see what i can find , save some money.
