    with what you are saying about immediate loss of power and black smoke sounds like egr. thats what mine did. im guessing since you live in CA you can not do a delete kit on yours...which sucks! i deleted mine the minute it hiccupped on me. if i were you and it is your egr, dont half ace it go...

    increases fuel pressure...does that mean it will dump more fuel in?? so therefore more fuel to be dumped in under heavy load means a lil black smelly good substance from the tail pipe...lol thats all i need is more soot to be blown out...already blows like crazy when i lay into it.

    love that charcoal color and i was stuck between that color and my two tone black on tan...went with my black on tan because 1. my harley is all black and 2. the two tone had captains in the front, unlike the charcoal one which had the bench with flip up console. both are lariats.

    wow you got an 06 with 43k!!! good job! bought my 05 in 10 with 75k... when i hit about 85k my egr went down the dumps...i did the delete kit...but i dont have to pass any emissions where im at.

    I have to admit... I prefer the interior of the new one especially the gauge set up with all the inclometer and what have you's but i prefer my 6.0. for some reason i just love my 6.0...lol any plans for your new rig? the diesel exhaust fuel seems to be a hassle if you are driving down the road...
