96 PSD tranny problems
Could be a something like a solenoid in the tranny as to why it don't have first and reverse, not sure as to why its puking fluid - My buddy at work is having problems with the one in his 97 Powerstroke - When it warms up it won't shift right - He's looking for a 5 speed to put in it...- 6.0PSD777

Another Oil Cooler/EGR thread..
Its up to you - If you are going to run a tuner then doing the EGR delete is probably the best route to go and is probably better for the truck in the long run, but if you are like me and don't want to use a tuner than the updated cooler is the way to go - Especially where some states are...- 6.0PSD777

You got it - a guy that i know through work has an 04 cc drw he bought brand new and tows everyday with it and so far has had zero issues. I think he has over 110k on it and its completely stock. You can delete the egr but in 05 and newer trucks you will get a CEL unless you have a tuner.- 6.0PSD777

I don't think that the EGR would give you a hard start - I have seen no start issues related to FICM not just cold start - Hard start when hot almost makes me think you have a blown o ring on one of your oil rail plugs or HPOP issue because when the oil is hot it is thinner so it will take...- 6.0PSD777

Fully agree with Daveben - I used to idle mine too much and it clogged up the egr valve so after i had it replaced and had the induction cleaning service done to it, i get on it now and then - especially because i make alot of short trips during the week. Very happy with it ;tu- 6.0PSD777
