Article Major Industries Shutting Down in Japan

That would be nice, BUT-- The fact is that there are so, so many things that just are not made in this country at all any more. I don't think there has been a single TV made in the USA for over 20 years. Even if a particular product is built in the USA, it could very likely be assembled...

What was the furthest you've ever gone----

Don't know. The next thing on the agenda is for the Chicago test results to come back. The only unusual thing they may find in excessive amounts will be caffine. :coffee So as far as I'm concerned, it's just a formality. But the first thing I'll have to do when I do start the job, is some...

    Over heating 7.3 in Oz

X2 on the fan clutch. Do you hear a loud roaring sound as the engine temps get hotter? If the fan clutch is working properly, you should hear the fan clutch when it kicks in as the engine gets hot. It'll sound like an aircraft engine during takeoff. Once the engine cools off the sound will...

We tried and were kinda excited about going. But our plans were torpedoed. :dunno:dunno What was funny(?) was after landing early, sitting on the taxiway, missing our appointment time, having to wait for all the people that were now ahead of us and sitting in a chair with a blood...

Thanks for the offer. I talked to my classmate about car pooling to the airport on Monday. (Only 1 parking lot fee) He also got hired and is flying with me to Chicago. Today he called a friend (a rich friend, very rich) and told him we were coming down. Apparently he has a hellacious...

    keyless entry?

IIRC the oem key code was printed on a label inside of the glove box on some vehicles. If not, a dealer should be able to reset it for you by pluging into the OBD connector under the dash.

    Question Brakes all 'round

Plan on giving some attention to the caliper slider pins. Make sure they move freely, they are well lubed and the rubber boot is in anything other than "like new" condition. Siezed slider pins = bigtime problems and $$$$$ Not that I'd know anything about that.:innocent:innocent

    New Glow Plug Relay

A couple of weeks ago, I couldn't get da Beast started and the temp was about 20*F. Not all that cold where it shouldn't start. I put a new set of glow plugs in about 3 or 4 years ago, and the miles I've been putting on it that last few years has been rather light. So I'm hesitant to think it...
