DRW tires and wheels, 22.5, 22 or 24? Super single?

Simple recommendation from me would be to compare tire prices of the big rig kits... after all in a few years you'll need new rubber again... and who knows you may not have the capital to spend.

need help with axle dust seal

Mine have been spinning freely now for 240,000 miles... its a dust seal, you have an actual oil seal near the pumpkin that keeps the nasties out. When I did my hubs at around 100K I too bought new seals.... with the same results. after some reading and looking I relaxed a bit. Since then...

    Question Oil Pan Repalcement

SAE ... yes there was/is an issue with some 7.3 Oil pans prematurely rusting out. I am unfamiliar with a 2 piece pan for our truck (doesn't mean it doesn't exist) When the dealer replaced my engine ... about 200,000 miles ago the engine they put in looked as though it was dipped in a thick oil...

    fuel tank lining?????

BJS there is a dual tank option for the 350/450/550 chassis cab trucks, however all of those tanks are plastic to the best of my knowledge. diesel and galvanized metal tanks do not play well with each other.

Oh no... Ohnoohnoohno... Guess Where I just dropped the glowplug???

My thoughts are........... if your sure it made it to the pan.. let it lie. even if its sitting on top of a baffle it would take a lot to get it to find something that is moving. consider placing a large fridge magnet on the bottom of the pan... as it will eventually find it's way down and...

Regular Penzoil 15w-40 after oil change

..even though I'm not a Pennswax fan... I don't believe that Pennsoil or any one else makes a 15/40 oil that is not for Diesel. That being said I don't believe you have any thing to worry about.

Question Winter setup??? New to Diesels

Look behind your left front Tow hook, this is where mine was stashed. (Block Heater Cord) If you find the temp going into the teens for most of your winter driving go down to a 10-30 w oil, This will help in cold weather starting, or perhaps a synthetic if your Budget allows..... but as I...

    Wandering truck and hissing sound

Center link should be able to "Move"... but not typical of just hand pressure, usually you have to have a wrench on it to move it much. I'm about 2500 miles from that 200 K mark, still have the original suspension parts, thought they are getting tired, only things I've changed were the shocks...

    Wandering truck and hissing sound

Scott if you are seeing more than about 10 min of play in your steering wheel, there is an adjustment on the steering box itself. there is a worm gear screw adj on the top of the Box, loosen the retaining nut (pay attention to the clock position or the screw head) turn the screw clockwise...

    Wandering truck and hissing sound

The problem is.............. YOUR TRUCK MISSES THE NW....... You may be suffering the same problems that I am, Leaf spring bushings are a bit work as well as the sway bar and others. I'll be looking at an "Energy" Bushing Kit soon for all four corners.

    brakes pulling

Ball Joints and Unit bearing are also causes for a pull. while you have it off the ground give all the components a very good once over, pull left to right, up and down. One thing that may help, before you pull any thing off, as you turn on an off / on ramp listen for a change in the way...

    Odd Engine Noise...........

Without hearing it... its hard to say, but at least it is on the Drivers side, as in that is the easier Valve cover to get to and remove. Mechanical noises would ..IMO be limited to Rocker arm, push rod, or injector. If an injector where giving you problems, I think you would notice...
