    Rookie Advice

With a "chip" it plugs into the PCM as opposed to the OBDII port. I have a 6 position chip that lets me change between horsepowers levels while the truck is on and moving. with a Tuner, you have recalib when the truck is off. When I see some ricer with his fart can exhaust at a light, I can...

    Kansas ORV Park, outside Manhattan

Anyone ever been there? How is it? I'm heading there this weekend with some buddies (A Cheby and A Heap) both gassers. Don't plan on doing any rock crawlin' or much trails. Just want to play in the mud. By default I am the main tow vehicle. I can't wait to see what she's got is that area...

    Rookie Advice

welcome, i agree with the intake and exhaust. You only need gauges if you are installing a chip or programmer. Both a chip and programmer will void your waranty, however a programmer is easier to remove and doesn't leave a trail. The advantage of a chip is that you can shift on the fly.

    glow pugs con't...

I've read the previous threads about testing the Glow plugs and the Glow Plug Relay. I had a few questions about the test. Glow plugs: There are nine male/female terminals on the harness, which ones to you hook the Ohm meter leads to? male or female? Should the key be turned on to test...

    Trouble Starting?

No, I had the batteries, starter, alternator tested yesterday and they all tested fine. I made sure to clean the battery terminals very good as there was a lot of acid build-up. After sitting for about 14 hours, it fired right up this morning, no problem. Still going to test the GP and GPR...

This is not really a question, but a statement. I had my fuel bowl cap work loose on me yesterday. The fuel was leaking like a SOB, and sprayed Diesel every where. I last changed the filter about 10k ago and have had no problem untill yesterday. i lost about 1-2 gallons, and at $3.30 per...

    high pressure oil crossover hose?

Made my own hose today and installed it. Noticed a little bit of a difference. All the fittings and hose I used are Parker. I used BXX04 hose (5000 psi), 04-06FJ90T fittings, 06FJ-05RA adapter. The overall length is about 12 in. You can use 04-04FJ90T fitting if you have a 04FJ-05RA adapter.

    HPOP O-ring replacement questions

CHPMustang gave this to me a few days ago. Caterpillar Part # 3J-1907 This part # is for the o-rings that mate to the HPOP. The ones at the rear of the motor are different. I had to order them from a website. When I get the size, I will post it.

    high pressure oil crossover hose?

I showed a pic of the hose to my boss and our best guess on the fittings was they were 3/8" 45deg FJIC elbow with 3/8" FJIC to FN adapter We just don't know the length or the psi of the hose.

    high pressure oil crossover hose?

I guess it equalizes the oil pressure to passenger side injectors since the PCM only reads the dr. side pressure, and can quiet and smooth the motor out a bit. Maybe better throttle response. I don't know if you would feel it in your seat dyno or not.

    high pressure oil crossover hose?

Does anyone know the exact components to this? Fittings? Adapters? Hose Size? Hose PSI? Hose Length? I work at a hydraulic hose shop and have pretty much everything at my disposal for cheap.
