thatn you Thanx guys those were my suspisions but i was skeptical because the tranny and converter are new replacement from ford. I will do some wrenching and further diagnosing tomorow and let you guys know the out come. Once again thank you.- ramiro

Loud noises
all fluids are fresh and ok. I'm also showing good oil pressure. fan is ok. starter is ok. it only chatters like that when its not in gear when I put in gear it starts to surge and the noise goes away. It surges for a few secs and then goes back to normal.- ramiro
