Turbo is shot
I thinking that doing my own re-build is probably a bad idea because of my vanes having contacted the inner housing. They didn't chew it up bad, I don't know how tight the tolerances are supposed to be. I think I'd rather just buy a re-built one and be done with it though. I wonder how many...- jules083

Turbo is shot
I have a 99 SD that's all stock. I just pulled the turbo out and it's shot. End play, side play, vanes gouging into the sides. What is a good one to get? I'm happy with the power of the stock motor, I really have no reason to upgrade it. The Dealership is wanting $1600 for a new one, I looked at...- jules083

Just got my first diesel
Hi everyone, I did some trading yesterday and ended up with my first powerstroke finally. 1999 F-350 Regular cab flatbed with a 6 speed and 172,000 miles. Traded a guy straight across for a 2001 F-250 with a 5.4 and 150,000 miles. I think I did pretty good, both trucks have little stuff wrong...- jules083
