    Look what I had done....

Seems to clean easier than the rest of the truck. I don't think your supposed to wax it. I think there is something out there from Line-x that makes old look new if it's an issue. I'm afraid of the backlash I'll get here, but I'll say it anyway. "I have never waxed this truck in 2yr/...

    Look what I had done....

The stain started out bad but seems to be fading and going back to it's original look. I think it will go away.

    Look what I had done....

Not a DYI! It would never look that good if I did it. It was done at Line-X in Brighton, MI. I know someone will ask so here's the cost. 980$ with what you see done. If I had them wrap around the doors to the inside and do the jams it would have been $1100. If I had gone with standard black it...

    Look what I had done....

I don't think I ever displayed my Line-X from a couple months back! :D CLICKY HERE :D I want nothing to do with the 6.4 or whatever comes next- so I'm making this truck last.

Who wants to laugh at me???

It's the only way to stay on it through the winter. Without them I would break many many bones. I think there is 198 on each tire & they're carbide points. You could use some up there! But they wouldn't stop the steel parts from getting brittle at those temps. :cold2

    Price for my OBS

If a dealer insulted me like that, there is no way I would buy the new truck from them. I would drive halfway across the state to avoid them. I know they are in it to make $ but have some integrity! :rant New Car Prices and Used Car Blue Book Values - Official Kelley Blue Book Site Came up...

Who wants to laugh at me???

When the time comes, I was thinking of slotting with the dremmell. To make things worse, since they became loose after only 300 miles I dabbed a smidge of blue locktight on there too. For now they are in good and staying there until the disc NEEDS to come off.

Who wants to laugh at me???

Over the weekend I was getting my mountain bike ready for the season. Had to change the tires, get the studded ones off, and replace some stripped (rounded out) allens holding my front brake disc on. I won't go in to why they were rounded but I picked up some new ones that took a 3mm instead of...

    Coolant filter ???

I tried thinking about that but didn't know what the flow rate was. I found the following on the 6.4 which leads me to beleive the rate for the 6.0 is 75 GPM. I can visualize that amount now and it makes sense that nothing has a chance to settle anywhere & everything would be caught in the...

    Coolant filter ???

So I added the coolant filter my signature & installed it just like the instructions said. tapping into the supply between the radiator and the resevoir & returning to a larger line near the oil fill neck. Here's my thinking for better or worse: :dizzy I don't understand how this can be removing...

It is official, we are in a recession.

There's a reason he doesn't have a job :dizzy I'm shocked by another issue. As bad as everyone thinks our Michigan economy is, I can't get businesses to even return a phone call. I have 3 out to concrete contractors in the last week with no call back. My Mom's husband tried all last summer to...

    looking at buying

uhhh.... Maybe post what dealer you and yours use so we know to stay the heck away from them. Was the 7 turbo guy running without an air filter and working in gravel pits?????? My 06 is creaping up on 70K flawless miles. Just look for 05-07 if your doing it and get the OASIS. You don't...

    superduty problems

67K on my OE continentals. I plan on waiting until this fall to change them. About 90K. LS is a joke on these trucks until it starts working and you can't make it stop, that's even worse than having none.

    Hard times for some.

Not sure what the pmt is but I pay $1000 or more depending on business. Sad that even with that payment, fuel still costs more than the payment. If the wife didn't have a company gas card, there's no way she would still be driving the Silverado.

    B99

I'm confused, school me. By approved bio dealer, do you mean any regular station that sells bio??? I burned 15K worth of fuel last year. Never really looked for bio (found and used it a couple times) but I would if it was $1 cheaper at years end. I have a station that sells it about 12 miles...

    What is fuel costing you?

I think I found a new record this weekend. $4.92  Same station had off road for $4.19 :stir The cashier said some guy came in earlier without looking at the price and pumped 120 gallons at 4.92 into his equipment by mistake. Then he wanted the station to only charge him for the other.

    Flu is getting worse.

Hope you guys get better soon! I have never adjusted my life for a sickness until this year. In January I was taken out of commision by the flu. For 5 days there was nothing I could do to eliminate a fever of 102+. So, whatever is going around this year is brutal.

    Windows getting scraped

He is the research god :hail:hail:hail:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy We should have a stump Bush contest to see if there is anything he can't dig up. To anyone who has had the door panels off: Is there another place the damage could be happening inside the door???

    Windows getting scraped

Occasionally lower the window and clean up the rubber/felt seal. Especially after getting the truck muddy or more often if you frequent dirt roads. That should stop further damage.

what would you charge per mile?

+ Are you covered if you lose it somewhere and wreck the whole rig/trailer. Your insurance of course would cover your property but what about the contents you're moving for the client??? I would suggest they contact a mover since the distance is so great. If it was just a couple hundred miles...

    Continental Cargo trailers

Nice set-up. I wish I would have thought mine through more before I did it. Too busy now to take a week to rework the trailer. If you bolt any kind of racking to the floor?, Make sure the legs sit on a frame crossmember & if they don't ad steel support underneath the trailer. Also attach them to...

    What is fuel costing you?

200 miles today and saw nothing less than 3.99 - 2 weeks back I saw 4.55 at a station upper Michigan. Until our law makers stop caving to the enviromental nazis and let us poke holes in this country, we're screwed!!! :stir :wc2

    bed liners?

My vote's for Line-X. Had it on the 03 & 06 Also had the exterior done on the 06 in the same place a 2 tone truck would be painted. The bed is black & the exterior is color matched & wrapped 2" around the fenders. I haven't used anything else so I'm a little biased. Did manage to scratch through...
