    Question cold weather operation

    The 6.4 likes fuel additive. I run a 50/50 mixture of Power-Serve anti-gel and diesel kleen. A quart total at fill up. And as soon as its at 1/4 tank, its time to fill it.

    Yeah, its a Chevy II. The only good Vega engine was the Cosworth. I had a Cosworth Vega once upon a time and it was fun. The standard Vega engine [sohc] was JUNK. Thats a cool project vehicle, Crumm. Keep us updated on the progress.

    Its not as bad as the livestock tax they are trying to get through. Its actually on the books as a flatulence tax. Apparently dairy farmers will have to pay a tax on cows because the methane they produce is damaging the ozone layer. And no, I'm not joking or half way into a bottle of Jack.

    I finally figured out how to use the speed sensitive volume control for the stereo. Its only been 3 months. And fueled it up. And threw in some fuel conditioner. Only mods so far are a Fumoto valve and synthetic oil. But, "Santa" did leave some interesting gift certificates. :sly

    Always a good idea to keep a few bottles of 911 in the truck. I will throw in an entire bottle of Power-Serv conditioner when fueling if the temps are low enough. Gelling up is just a pain in the a**.

    I'm having a significant problem

    How much fuel is in the truck? Believe it or not, at just over a quarter they lose power and stay that way until you put in fuel. Plus you really need a cetane booster added to what passes as fuel these days. Hope its something simple. Good luck.

    Help Needed Breaker Keeps Popping

    Aluminum wire + welder + worn breaker = fire. I would hire or barter with the electrician to do a suitable [safe] upgrade. Eventually a worn breaker can develop a carbon arc that will conduct electricity even when the breaker blows.

    Yeah, it has a remote start. Ford remote. Came with the truck, dealer installed. That would explain it.     A problem has arisen

    My truck won't turn over until the glow plug light is out. You turn the key forward, and release it. Then it starts itself when the light goes out. And no, I'm not kidding, and no, I have no idea how it does this. Until I read this thread I thought all the 6.4's were like that. :watchout
