I drove it to meet a potential buyer. I'd love to sell this before my new one comes in. Seemed like he really liked it, should know this week. (Fingers crossed...)
Louisville truck is the only plant that builds F250-F550's. The plant in Mexico builds F650 and 750's. There is a second plant in Louisville that is mainly used for SUV's, I think that is the plant they are talking about. Ford can't afford to stay mainly in the truck/SUV business and with the...
I removed my snowplow, Mag-Hytec Diff covers, and put my muffler and cat back on. Getting ready to sell the truck. Getting pretty anxious for the new truck!
It seems like you never see very many people on these boards that actually like Banks products. You may not find too many people on here that have a whole bunch of experience with Banks stuff on a 6.4. Good Luck though, I'm curious to see how it compares to Spartan.
Yeah, we're probably referring to the same part. In the installation instructions for my Western, they referred to it as a "Blocker Beam". I believe it is there in case you got into a collision with a low car, you won't just ride up over them and basically kill everybody in the car.

It should be here in about 2 months. Now I have to convince the wife I NEED a lift and a few other mods....:sly
Make sure you reach up over the front driveshaft when you drain the filter on the frame, or else you'll get the diesel shower we all hate. I always change mine when the tank is almost empty, and I open the fuel cap. (Somebody once said this help's avoid draining a lot of fuel when you pull out...
I have nothing against you or Amsoil, I just always laugh when SOME Amsoil salesman type people talk as if you MUST use Amsoil or else. I have used Amsoil products before, and have had good results. I just wanted to point out to the original poster the options he has. Again, nothing personal...
You'll get a bunch of opinions on this, along with the obligatory Amsoil commercial, but I always, always, ALWAYS, use Motorcraft filters, available at Wally World for about $17, and either Rotella 15/40 or Motorcraft 15/40.
It should fit no problem, the only possible difference is your truck will have the Blocker Beam behind the front bumper, where your brothers truck probably doesn't.
