    low sulfer fuel

    Ive used the Walmart TC-W3 as well as Mercruiser and Bombardier 2 stroke oils at the 1 oz per gallon ratio. Just make sure it is low ash. Sure does seem to quiet the knock considerably. I ran B100 in a TDI VW and it definitely made a difference for 229,000 miles.;tu

    Leaking coolant...kind of strange...

    If you do not know where the leak may be and if you can isolate it to the drivers side, check the De-Gas (coolant recovery tank) to see if it is sweating coolant. The tanks' plastic deteriorates over time from the heat and develops spider cracks which sometimes only leak when the coolant is hot...

    Zend Optimizer

    Was there something wrong with the site today? I could not get to the forum as it said that I had to have a Zend Optimizer since the forum was Zend encoded. It gave me the same thing when I tried to access the site with my blackberry. What gives? It seems to be working OK now.:confused:

    Since some time around 2004 they quit putting the numbers somewhere on the trucks for safety reasons. You now have to carry them into the stealership along with about $25 to $50 bucks and they will hook it up and get you your code number.

    Fuel economy

    Just came in from my cabin in the smokies. I got 17.6 going up to the cabin and 16.6 coming back but I sat in traffic coming back for an hour and a half delay around Chattanooga. Coming back was also 25 degrees cooler if you think that made a difference.

    I havent used one yet but I have just bought 6 Purolator Pure One (the blue ones) filters on a $14.99 oil change special with 5 quarts of oil.     Wouldn't removal of the Diesel Particulate Filter make the warranty void? Regardless whether Railroad or dirt road the emmissions filter requirements would apply to all vehicles IMO.

    Remember the battery cables that are carroded at the battery also have another end that is hooked up to something and can corrode just as badly. CLEAN BOTH ENDS AND THE METAL THAT THEY CONTACT WITH. Its just as important.
