    PSD with the easy life

South or North Actually they do. I work for the DOT as an Engineer and built the first salt brine generator 7 years ago. MDOT has been salting the roads for the past 2 months plus this season. Most surrounding state DOTs use salt as well Just not in the same quantities as some northern...

    PSD with the easy life

I believe that maintenance is easier in the South but I believe there is more damageon startup in colder weather than in a warmer climate. Here in MS we got 5 inches of snow this morning so so much for a warmer climate. Side by Side with maintenance equal: Exact same model of truck exact...

    PSD with the easy life

Do you think it makes a difference in how many problems on a PSD if say the Superduty is owned by someone who lives in Florida and the PSD never sees the temperature drastically change as opposed to someone living in Minnesota? Would that affect how many problems some vehicles have or have had...

Well Well. Overflow of last night's snow storm when hades froze over left 4 inches of the white stuff in North MS. You would know I would have to work that area this week. Been living about 2 hours from the Saints all my life and they never could, but they did last night. Poor Ole Archie...

    Fumoto Valve

Got my Fumoto Valve in the mail today. It is much smaller than I Imagined it would be. I dont see where there would be a problem with it hanging down too low. I still wish the previous owner would have installed it before I bought it. Oil change due in about 900 miles so it will be installed...

    Fumoto Valve

Got'er on the way. Just wish the previous owner had installed one. The first time i changed the oil my pan wasn't big enough and wound up with a very nasty black spot of sand in the yard. Now I have to drain before I can install the new valve.

Check out this F150... Um... Peterbilt??

Buford had the right idea as well. I went by his house a few month ago and went out to the site of his wreck on the 40 anniversary. The man had'em made of iron and Walked Tall. He didn't walk so softly but carried the big stick. :backoff

    Fumoto Valve

I have mine ordered but was worried about all the discussions over the projection of the thread into the oil pan not letting the old oil drain out. By my calculations a 1/4 inch projection over a 12" x 12" area or a square foot would retain about 20 oz oil. Now I'm not sure what the bottom of...

    Fumoto Valve

How many of you are using a Fumoto valve? Are you using a nipple? Did you use an extra washer to keep the threads from protruding into the pan?

    wierd vibration

You said you replaced the carrier bearing and that it wasnt constant so that should knock out the u-joints. Dont know what to tell you except that is what was wrong with mine. Sort of like something was hitting the floor pan under my feet or seat. You could peel the rubber busing out of mine...

Check out this F150... Um... Peterbilt??

I went to the office Tuesday and then left to go to Starkville to work a few days and finally back home Thursday Night. It was a mess with all the repairs being made. Had to drive 45 minutes to wait in line to get a burger from people that had no running water to wash their hands.

    What's the best oil filter?

Do you run a spin on type filter? If so, the the yellow one is the pure one. It filters 99.9% whereas the standard white spin on cartridge filters 97.5% efficiency. I was referring to my cartridge filter is blue. Check out their website: PureONE Oil Filters
