Some folks wonder why body shops cost so much when you carry something to be done. Think of what it would cost to have a body shop to do this. It takes alot of patience to take it all apart and to put it all back together then for it all to work. Good luck and :SDD
1968 F100 Custom Step Side LWB with a 240 CID straight 6 with a 3 speed on the column shifter. All the power you could put into the steering. If you played with the manual choke you could make her get up to about 73 MPH. No radio No AC just truck and motor. :sweet
If you look at the MC filters at Walmart and then you reach over and get the Fram oil filter set them side by side and then look at the writing on each end of the filters you will see that they are identical down to the writing. Be careful to put the MC filter back in the MC box so that someone...
This is the place to be as a PSD owner. Answers out the wazzoo for any problem as most folks may have already gone thru the same problem and will help you with the answer.
Joe,
I remember when you ordered the truck you wanted because they didn't keep the heavy duty trucks on the smaller dealers lots and it was $5,700. Everything seems to have an improved price. That same truck is now about $35,000.
First of all :SDD If its under warranty then I would let the dealer have it until they can reproduce the problem to see for themselves what you are talking about. New trucks should not do this. They are too expensive to have problems at 15K.
They are on the energy suspension website but unless you have the ability to get the old ones out of the end links then I would go with the endlinks ready to bolt on. You don't have to go the the stealership to get them. Picked mine up at local Carquest. The were Moog and bolted on in about 15...
Five years ago today I was working for the DOT when Katrina came into Mississippi. We borrowed some portable fuel tanks which gave us problem after problem. It turned out to be actual muck and literal mud in the bottoms of the tanks. The tanks came from a grading contractor. The tanks would...
Check prices on autotrader.com cars.com or ebay motors to see what they are going for.
I bought a King Ranch lariat CC last year (I know its not a Harley) with 78K for a lot lot less. In fact Ive seen 2005 XLT CC FX4s with 53K on them go at auction 2 years ago for $9,800 with warranties at...
O' Ruler of the Soybean Oil,
I can't help you with that problem but I sure wish I was running bio in my rig. I was making bio when i had my 2001 beetle TDI but traded it for an 09 Jetta TDI. so Im scared to run bio in either of my rides.
Hope you get your problem fixed although its hard...
You've come to the right spot. :SDD
Someone with knowledge on the mechanics of EGR will chime in before long. This site is a wealth of information for PSD owners. Glad you've joined.
When you say the truck has 42,000 miles on the engine, are you saying the engine has been rebuilt or replaced or what? If the engine was rebuilt what work was done? How many actual miles on the truck? Separate the value of the truck and toy hauler?
:SDD I've got the same model. Love mine. Fill out your signature in the User CP above.
It ain't no grocery getter! Unless your driving 16 hours to hunt birds. Then your bringing home the groceries.
I believe after about 05 or 06 Ford quit putting the codes on the vehicles as too many people (thieves) knew where the codes were etc... You, now as far as I know, have to carry it to the stealership to have them look it up for you. That equates to about a $25 to $50 charge. They use to be on the...
I bought a new F250 company truck for one of my superintendents back in 2007. It came in before my new truck came in so I drove it for a month until mine came in. I carried it to an oil change place that we use a good bit and when I got the ticket back I was charged for 20 qts of oil. When I...
It's a shame that our work force has become so nonchalant about the quality of their work. This generation for the most part seem to have the attitude that do as little as you can get away with to keep from losing their job. This generation is all about WIFM (what's in it for me). There seems to...
I changed the bypass filer today and boy was the old one filthy. My fluid is clear but not as red as I would have wanted it to be. It is very clear and has no solids suspended in the fluid so I assume the bypass filter is doing the cleaning as it should be doing. I topped off with the Valvoline...
Now I'm not from Alabama but I live 17 miles from the Alabama Line over in Mississippi. I'm about 90 miles from Mobile where the Leprechaun was last seen. Check out the Leprechaun flute (scaffold connector) handed down from generation to generation.
