    Help Needed Poor fuel mileage

What injectors are in it? How many miles? Maybe put some single shots in it, stage 1's or somethin. Yer foot def controls the fuel mileage. But dang, its so cool seein smoke roll out of the stacks. My mpg suffer obviously haha:sweet:sly

Question Who either has switched or been tempted with Ecoboost?

The new F150's hands down. Best in class fuel economy and towing. You can get the 5.0 or that eco boost v6 which I hear tons of great news. But thats the newer trucks. You could probably get an 04 or newer F150 with the 5.4 decently priced.

batteries dead after sitting 2 weeks with newer diehard platnums

Well luckily when i found it was my AIH, it was dark out and in the parkinglot I popped the hood and the AIH heater was glowing red hot since it was on all the time. Thats how I found it. Its just one area of these trucks that gives probs. It doesnt get cold enough around here for me to justify...

    Help Needed Poor fuel mileage

Well you do have big lift and tires by the looks of it. That will rob some mpg. Check yer exhaust back pressure sensor and tube. They can get clogged with soot. Brake calipers sticking?

batteries dead after sitting 2 weeks with newer diehard platnums

Getting a new bad battery isnt unheard of. Sitting on the shelf will kill them but not very likely. Or you could have another prob that shorted it out or somethin. Alternator workin properly?? I deleted my Air Intake Heater (AIH Delete) cause the solenoid stuck and drained my batteries within...

    No truck yet

If you can get that harley cheap enough snag it BUT the early 6.0s had probs. I'd stick with 05 or 06 and up since they kind of worked the bugs out of them. Or get one with the 6.4 in them. They dont get very good mpg but i hear no major issues. I settled for the 7.3 since most are still on the...

Question New to diesels and have some questions

All I heard is crappy fuel mileage. Not near as many probs compared to the 6.0. Check with yer state for inspections.

Gonna be weird one day to put a antique tag on a 99. Doesnt seem that far off haha. I'll prob keep my truck forever too. Just keep on upgrading it and it will be even sweeter. :sweet

So..you're looking to get an RV?!

Thanks Joe! I will look into them. Of course all RV stuff is universal and will work with no matter what type of camper you got. Good idea on cutting down the 50' hose to 3 different lengths. :sweet

So..you're looking to get an RV?!

What magazines or other info do you suggest? I sometimes log into my rv.net account. Im mainly interested in truck campers right now and check out truck camper magazine.com since they seem to be the only truck camper spot. I could be wrong?

    SES light

The sensor on the front of the motor that goes to the tube that sumtimes gets plugged is part of the EBPV system right? I thought disconnecting this would make the butterfly not work? Or is there wires down on the ebpv on the turbo that i need to disconnect?

Is a new bed gonna look stupid on my truck?

What exactly is different about the beds?

Ok I will try disconnecting the wires. I assume the butterfly is sprung "open" all the time if its disconnected??

Question looking at buying some generic questions. . .parking?

If its cheap enough and you checked it over good enough, I'd snag it. I thought they would've put a 24v in it or common rail.
  22. Stroked68

    SES light

Ok the turbo woosh sound is gettin more annoying. Even when I drive it it makes that sound and you can feel a diff in power when it does it then comes back on. Does it till its good and hot. So I popped the hood while it was makin this noise and saw that the EBPV is coming on and off. Can I just...

Is a new bed gonna look stupid on my truck?

Yea buff the crap out of it probably. That would be cool if it actually bolts up no prob cause then we have MANY more choices for our trucks.

    Greeting

No you can test them still in the truck. Just disconnect the harness on top of the valve covers where they meet the head. The last two pins on each side are the gp's. You just run an ohm test.
