    My exhaust is touching a bolt on the back side of the engine....about 6" down from the turbo. I was thinking exhaust too untill I thought about it being torque related. All the wheels tight???

    I didn't duck tape...I got about 5 eyelets with sticky tape on the bottom (they're made for securing wire) stuck to the PCM housing so the wire snakes/binds itself. I tugged on the switch side of the wire and didn't feel it on the PCM side. Think I'll cover the chip and then duck tape it...need...

    How do you have your's secured? I would like to make it more secure so it doesn't wiggle off the connections (haven't had that happen), but with as close as those circuits are to be severed, it would take but one time of taking the chip out and "accidently" severing the circuit.

    I believe you are misunderstanding. I did rub the coating off the copper connections for the chip.     How much can you run off a 10gauge wire?? Thats what I got my 800W inverter on....but its never ran anything bigger than a cell phone or laptop. I got it on a 20 or 25 amp (whatever the toggle switches are rated at:dunno) in-line fuse. And did you fuse the 10 gauge wire?

    Thanks Dave!!;tu Liquid tape is a pretty handy thing to have around. Anytime someone is working on something electrical, I ask them if they want to use some liquid tape. They look at me as if I just offered them striping paint.

    Pulled my PCM to get the code off and noticed this on the PCM. Looks like the solder on the chip is scratching the PCM. Do ya'll think it would be ok to coat the chip in liquid tape or put something (non-conductive) between the chip and board? Any suggestions ya'll got please....I dont want my...

    I'm wanting/thinking about running a fuse box off a/both batteries for future hook-ups and the ones I got now (800W inverter, gauges, aux back up lights....all on in cab toggel switches). I dont like have everything on a seperate wire coming off the battery. So I was wondering if it would be ok...

    I like to use a punch (the kind you push in and it "pops!!") to make an indention. That way the bit is less likely to wonder around. Then use the step-up bit....looks like a big bit with a small bit on the end.

    They got the price changed now...42.somethin. I did a list of all of JUST the performance upgrades and I figure up another $5200....so I'm gonna allow $7000. I eventually want to get it paid off...park it...buy another run-a-round truck...and just start fixing this one up.

    Did you check the valve to drain the fuel bowl? o-rings are bad about going out on them. Or maybe its just not close all the way:dunno

    x2 on going back to stock...I've heard of chips causing a runaway truck. I also remember readin up on "hydrolocked" engines....and I read something about it causing a runaway truck.
