    regardless, it is not a bad idea to put on a Racor pre-pump filter and water separater. I have one but it isn't installed yet. Stay away from Dahl - they are not bio compatible despite what they will tell you.

    the humming is probably coming from the tank selector switch. It may be going out and that might be at least part of the cause of the other issues. You may have a bad pump too since the bowl is empty. I take it you mean it never fills back up after you close the drain and try to start it?

    you do need to do one upgrage, I wont call it a mod because it really isnt. You have two high pressure fuel lines that you need to replace with teflon or some other biocompatible fuel line. They are cheap - I paid $27 total for both lines. Just find a local hose shop and show them the lines...
