    I wish my PO was an old geezer who maintained it meticulously. I've put 213K on mine since I bought it in '02 and used 4WD for less than 50 miles total, but I never see snow. 4WD is nice to have to get you out of a pinch since the front end is so heavy, but $5K for the truck seems like a good deal.

    I went from Delo 15W40 to Redline synthetic 15W40 then back to Delo without a problem. Synthetic is compatible with dino so if some residual oil is still in there no worries. I have the OilGuard bypass by the way.

    Winterizing?

    Make sure the tank is full to prevent condensation and maybe also add a biocide to prevent fungal growth. Switch to winter oil prior to storage. Disconnect the batteries...and remember to lock it. :D

    Used an electric leaf blower to blow the road dust out of the cab (dash, seats, under and behind seats, headliner and door pockets) and yes I did put a strip of electrical tape over the CD slot.

    Idling wastes fuel no matter how long its running. Idling is fine in a diesel but don't expect idling to warm a cold engine.
