I think im ready for a turbo up grade. I need some suggestions. I dont want to break the bank but i want something that will hold the boost pressures for when i do upgrade to bigger injectors. I am wanting to upgrade before i destroy my stock one so im not with out a truck while the new ones on its way and so i can still sell my old one.

Thanks
Neal

What HP do you want? What size injectors do you plan?

Van turbo for stage 1-2

38r with a 1.15 housing for stage 2-hybrids

H2e or Turbonetics T-70 for Stage 2-hybrids-B codes

TG got the Dominator 66. iirc, Bean's developed it and sells it.

a much smarter bear than me can explain it better, but instead of using the stock wheel and a smaller housing to get more pressure, 0.95, its a bigger compressor wheel in a yet bigger housing, 1.15 and a 66mm wheel. so you are flowing more air and keeping the same pressures.

Bean will not warranty the turbo for anything above stage 2's...

There is also PDR's Super GTP turbo, very nice set up.

You have an early 99 or a 99.5?

If you have an early 99, then the D66 is only game in town unless you change the pedestal, up-pipes, intake manifold and a few other things which all lead into "breaking the bank" territory.

A D66 is a drop-in swap, no other changes required.

I have a late '99, no bigger than stage 2's in the future

If you have a 99.5, then you have a lot of different choices for turbos. You are not limited to a D66. I heard that Bean's does have a D66 for the 99.5's and later, but you are not limited to just that one.

I think somebody else could give you better advice than I could on the various 99.5 turbos, ball bearing, Big bad Wolf/Phat shaft, etc.
