diesel price jump

I bought diesel at $3.679 for the past 6 weeks (Dec-late Jan) at Meijer's (premium) and Mobil (BD blend) around here and saw it cheaper in southern IL 2 weeks ago. Monday...they were all at $3.999.

I had just filled the 100g tank in the back and was thanking my lucky timing...well, ok, actually I was cursing the size of the bill but now I figure I "saved" about $40 or so!

Is this just local or is this something y'all are seein' too?

They are changing from Winter fuel back to Summer fuel and that is causing a shortage (planned). There was an article in the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. I call BS along with you RSG.

Hmmmm ? If its $4.00+ and it's only February.. What will it be by the time May, and the Summer gets here.. THIS TIME ??

I'd betcha we see $5.50+, as a Norm this summer, and it'll Never go back below $4.00 again.

Yep it was $4.00 today at one place I saw but I filled up for $3.70 early this morning in Jackson, MS at Exxon. I think Dave is on the right track.

More BS...it's now running $4.09 (Walmart) to $4.26 (Road Ranger) with most at $4.15. That's over 50 cents in 2 weeks....ouch. Joe, I hope you are WRONG!

Found a station in miami at 4.99 a gal. But this is out by the gates of the airport.

This is crazy!!!!! Even gas is at $3.55 in the DFW area. I actually saw one station yesterday that had regular at $3.76. Filled up the new Honda Accord Friday and got 29.52 mpg. That is much better than the dearly departed Crown Vic whose last tank was at 20 mpg.
