Just ordered my ATS ported turbo housing.......good buy surge...
2nd Day air so i should have it in by this weeked

Any advice for the install?

I just sold the ol girl couple weeks ago, really hated to see her go, but it was time to move on, somethin 4x4

I have the ATS housing and have never gotten any surges. I didn't install my housing but Tony Wildman (he is the one that installed it) told me that you can do it without having to completely removing the turbo.

Got it today gunna atemt the install tomarrow, so nobody has every installed before huh?
The directions seem pretty clear.
Only bad part is they say i will have to shorten the wastegate actuator rod b/c the housing braket for the actuator is in a little different position, sounds like that will be the only PITA

It's not very difficult at all, just time consuming and a little hard on the chest. Here's an article on turbo removal TikiWiki : Turbo removal 1999.5-2003 7.3 Powerstroke. You'll do all of that except disconnecting the up pipes and down pipe. Make sure you have an 1/4 drive 8mm 12pt or 5/16" 12 pt socket and a 1/4" drive swivel

Got it in, kinda of a PITA but very well worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No more surge, nice smooth shifts, the sound is amazing, now i just have to be carefull to not overboost
I have some pics will try to get them on tomarrow
