This is a GREAT article!

TikiWiki : Fuel Supply Modification Part 2

I really want to do this to my truck. I see that some of our sponsors charge $600 to $1500 for kits to do the same thing. I want to know where I can buy these parts or does anyone have part #'s??? Are these custom made hoses or can I pick them up locally at a store? Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!!!!

Probably have any hydraulic hose store make ya some. It might be cheaper that way. Using good hose and fittings might be expensive. I would suggest also getting the KCM HPX crossover line to linke the rear of both heads together. Its a stainless steel line that equalizes oil flow to the rear of the heads. The rear injectors get whatever oil is left in the system. ITP diesel sells them. Made my motor a lil quieter and throttle response is a lil better too. I see you got beans stage 1 injectors. How much of a diff did you notice in power and mpg? Im thinkin of gettin stage 1's or 2's with beans ts chip.

Doing the HPX mod, increasing the FPR psi to 70, eliminating air* from the system by doing the "Hutch" tank mod and replacing the fuel pump inlet fitting with a piece of fuel hose... achieves the same, if not much Better results.. for 1/4 the cost.

Jus my .02

* the aerated fuel mentioned in that post/link.

(and no extra lines & fittings added (to leak).. to an already.. cluttered engine ?)

I definitely picked up some MPGs and power. Im just not sure how much because a had the injectors, trans, torque converter done at the same time. The trans was slipping real bad before I had all of that done so it made a big difference for me.(and a big difference in my bank account)

I'm not the authority on this, It's your call, but from my years of wrench'n, I've found AIR intrusion, in the fuel, to be one of the biggest issues on the 7.3's. The un-equal oil rail pressure is un-sat also.

The in-tank set up allows air to be sucked in.. at below a half a tank, the FP inlet fitting can let air in, at any time. The FPR has no Spec for pressure. It's to low.. in my findings. (with IH). Un-equal oil rail psi stands alone.

Soo, in my way of thinking: If you eliminate the Air intrusion, bump the initial fuel pressure up to 70 psi.. you've accomplished the same result as reconfiguring the supply lines..equalizing the oil rail psi, again stands alone.

Not Bashing the fuel line mods, In Any Way.. and again in just my way of thinking.. Doing the fuel line reconfiguration.. AIR.. is still in the fuel.. it's just flowing in more volume.. granted..at probably a more equal delivery psi, so the air might not have as Much of an effect.

Make any sense ?

Agreed. Those kits to re do the fuel lines is expensive. I'd say doin the hutch and other intake mods are the way to go. Atleast try them first maybe and see how you like the outcome. Sounds like it works really well from readin about it. Next on my list to do too.

Yes it make sense. I should have NO air in my fuel at all. I have in tank mod, AirDog DF-165, and shimmed FPR. I just have had a lope at Idle lately. I had some dirty fuel before I installed my AirDog system. Maybe I need to check my filters again. I may also reinstall my HPX line again. I took it off when I got my Adrenaline HPOP. I dont really remember why.:dizzy
