So I come out to finish working on my truck this morning and I find it sitting with the driver side 1" off of the ground! At first I thought that the floor jack had collapsed. That thought was quickly followed by "where is the jack stand I had under the truck?" The following pictures show what I found. How it happened I can only guess. My assumption is that some local teenagers were playing a prank. Nothing else makes sense. My neighbors are all in their 80's and come over and chat while I work?
I am border line mad, part of me is highly upset that someone might have been in the back of my house at night jacking around with my property, but since no real damage was done (the truck was unlocked and nothing was taken from the inside) tones down my anger to frustration.

The jack stand was still there, I took the handle off of the jack and put it in the garage with the tire. If the floor jack had been the only thing lowered I would have just thought that I hadn't done a good job making sure it was twisted into the hold position. But with the jack stand lowered as well................well makes me think there was human intervention.

That sucks. Next time hook up a couple of batteries to your jack stands. That should disturb them from taking them. LOL

that reminds me of the time the family and i visited memphis,TN....while we were in a movie theatre....someone stole our $499 camera right out of the king ranch center....the bad thing is that we didn't even realize what had happend untill we got back to the hotel and saw the minor damage to the driver's side door handle....a police officer said that "they" take a long screw driver and jam it into the key hole....once in, they simply jab the screw driver down and the door unlocks...this was news to us rednecks from missouri....the worst part was "they" broke into the passengers side that nite and stole a fitted hat!!!!! .......he also said that most of these type of crimes occur on the 99-to then 04 superduties because of the door handles

note to self....put quick steel into the key holes and use the keyless entry
