what do you do when you need to move

A big fold out bed couch, old time stereo and an older roll top desk???
the problem
the loft is 8 feet above the floor
the two people are both broken, bad arms, knees and BACKS
couch weighs near 350 pounds

resort to a good old chain hoist

added a few more 2x4's and viola we got lifting done

Ya know Robert, I would have thought a help wanted ad posted here stating a case of beer (or two) would be available to be shared by all those responding to said advertisement at a set date, time & location would have accomplished the same thing.

You could have requested from one of the SDD gods that credit be given for a Texas mod party.

Besides, it would have sucked big time if our last memory of our leading poster was of a couch landing on top of him.

i was very safe... didnt want to hurt the wife unit.
plus she has been ribbing me about the hoist i have had for a long long time and only used twice now.......
