since the engine is coming out here the list of repairs i have planned, but my questions are in red.

1.fix the main problem lol- from what im told its bad crank bearings but we will see
2. have hpop checked- where do i have this done?
3. FPR- rebuild anyways?
4.send off injectors to have checked or rebuilt- where do i have this done?
5. rebuild heads all that it intails
6.new gasket etc
7. how do i check the turbo or where do i have it checked?
8. new water pump an neck for it.
9. fpg but where exactly do i tie into the system?
diesel site list
-203* thermostat
-Aluminum Thermostat Housing $46.85
-Boost Relief Valve + $45.00 is this really needed?
-1999.5-2003 Ford 7.3L PSD Wastegate Controller $159.00
-1999-2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke Coolant Filtration System $109.00

Strictly diesel list
-S.S. HPX Line (99-03) Base Price: $64.95 what are your thoughts?
What else am i missing?

you might consider an oilbypass system if you are rebuilding.

I agree with Dp. I would check with Beans Diesel Performance (BDP) for your injector needs. They have chips too if you want some more power. If it was mine I would upgrade your injectors IF they are bad. Step up to stage 1's or somthin. I'd def do the HPX line. I have one and love it. Made a diff in quietness of the injectors. I would also do head studs since yer already there. I know I would do mine just cause im already there. But I know 7.3's didnt have that prob compared to the 6.0's. You could upgrade yer FPR with a nice one I think its from diesel site. It has a gauge on it I believe. I know on Guzzles web page he does a write up on it. Visit his page for some more ideas. Your HPOP, if its weak or bad, you can upgrade it. I guess it all depends on if you want a lot more power or just usin for your normal towing. I believe there isnt anything wrong with the stock 7.3 HPOP's. Someone else will chime in. I cant think of anything else right now. :D

what about a wicked wheel turbo upgrade? will this help with mpg? If i have missed something that yall know will help in the better mpg mods/ longevity area :) please share :hail
Im going for long life, I dont plan on replacing this truck ever god willing. Even though lifted im going for the best mpg i can get which was dang near 20 highway and 12-15 city depending on loaded or not, i have a hypertec max energy programmer with econ on it and the truck is going to be a off and on daily driver - work truck, ladder rack with tool boxes etc most of the time for now.

bears- you would have to ask the texans about local places, i am in illinois.
if you are looking to upgrade injectors, then look at beans. if you are staying stock, then find local shop.
look at the wikif for regulated return install. you will learn more form there. or dieselsite, but you can roll your own way cheaper. you are going to have to work on this as you have an svo listed on your truck too.
why would you need boost relief valve or wastegate controller? will your programming push you that high? have you defueled due to overboost? it might make you feel good, otherwise, but make SURE that you have a reason for the upgrade.
i would also get rid of that POS k&n and get an AIS kit. i would suspect that it had something to do with your need for a rebuild.

if you are looking to upgrade injectors, then look at beans.is their web site Beans Diesel Performance: Diesel Performance and Custom Tuning what other beans website or contact info is there, i search but its a crazy search when putting in beans lol? if you are staying stock, then find local shop.

why would you need boost relief valve or wastegate controller? i was just wondering, i use the econ mode not a racing truck, just pulling occaionally 16ft loaded trailerwill your programming push you that high? probobly not your right on this:) have you defueled due to overboost?never, probly wont either it might make you feel good, otherwise, but make SURE that you have a reason for the upgrade.

filter: save your duckets and go with the DIY filter setup! the money you 'save' will buy you a lifetime of fitlers.

otherwise, go to the AIS conversion setup.

injectors- you might want to do soem looking around. if you are sticking with stock, or doing mild stage 1, there are lots for deals to be had.
