received my aerostar water valve today for the ac mod. I see the arrows on the pipes but that isnt telling me anything. Anyone have step x steps for it or pictures that will guide a blind man? Like Homer said, dumb it down a little for me.

:thanks

hum got a pic of it? is it a four Holer?
top two go together and teh bottom two go together

if its a two holer you need only interupt one line

if its the four then cut bth heater hoses and insert valve keepinh respective hoses inline with each other, the vavle is a ON or OFF no check valves so direction doesnt matter
hope this helps grasshopper:hail

four holer. ebay

so there are no crosses of hoses as I understand you. I cut both and both sides are in-line just like they were... I guess when I go to do it I will put it on and take a picture for validation. I think that is easier. Im a visual learner.

Thanks Robert

AC mod valve. Shuts off water to heater core when AC is on. Im also adding a vacuum solenoid to a dash power switch so I can turn on/off the water at will.

by the looks of that valave i would say the two on th eleft go together and the two on the right go together.
it probaly has a shuttle vale inside to allow coolant to flow up through each side and then when vac is applied it pulls down to close both ports.
you could check it with a water hose firt but i would go with the two on the same side go with each other .

like he said it cuts off hot coolant from running through teh heater core and helps get just a bit of more efficincy from the ac. for some reason it was remved from trucks in 92-95 ish time frame or earlier and then re added in 04 ish.
excursions had it all the time, pickups just had to suffer

pets control will allow some temp adjust ment so the passengers dont completely freeze :D

FordForgotton has decent pics-

i am doing it today too. its 100 here today. :( waiting for the sun to lower before i finish.

the valve is kinda chinsy. it is a simple sheet metal butterfly. it does not totally seal the flow from the other ports. it simple diverts and whatever leaks past, still goes to the heater.
