A local mechanic, (not a Ford tech, just a private shop owner,) told me the other day that I shouldn't use an additive that contains water dispursent because it's bad for the injectors in the PSD. I've never had a problem with water in my fuel, but it did get me curious. I work on large ag tractors everyday, and we use water dispursents to break down water so it will pass through the injectors with minimal damage. Does anyone have any information on this? The reason I ask is we sell a fuel lubricity additive that I can get at a good price, but it contains a water dispursent. Thanks for the info.

the major issue with water disp. are the ones that use a heavy concentration of alcohol, because it flames rather than combusting, but that has nothing to do with the injectors. maybe it attacks the orings???
