I was talking to a guy from (one of the advertisers on this site) and we started talking programmer/chip ect. I told him that I had a 80 hp superchip (the one that plugged into the computer) with the off road program and he told me that the technology had so far advanced that chip that a 50 hp program today would probably feel stronger than what I have.

My programmer experience: Santa brought me a superchip programmer for christmas but I did not like it at all and sold it. It made my engine sound like it was going to blow (probably due to the massive exhaust leak I had) and on the High performance setting, it did not perform any better than it does with the 80 hp chip. Also, I did'nt like the fact that you had to stop, plug it in and reprogram to change the setting if pulling even a small trailer.

What would be a good chip/programmer for me?

My driving habbits. WFO goin, Black smoke Blowin kind of guy that pulls an atv trailer, 5 wheel camper ocasionally.

I would DEFINITELY go with a custom burned chip. DP tuner and TWildman are 2 of the best out there and they are site sponsors. You can get different tunes for towing and high power. Go with one of those and you will not be disappointed.

I believe DP tuner was the place I was talking to. He said I could get something shift on the fly for around $399.00 Is that the same thing you are talking about.

I have a ts performance 6 pos chip and it has made me regret buying the superchip in the first place. But, you really will not feel the difference in the 75 and 100 hp setting until you shim your fpr.

I have been trying to get a reading on my fuel pressure for a while. I can't seem to find anyone that knows how.

However, today I talked to a guy who is fixing an oil leak on on my 97 International rollback with the 7.3 PSD. I asked him to check the fuel pressure on it and it was bouncing from 40 to 45psi non stop. He is going to see what the pressure should be and adjust it accordingly. He think's it is 60 psi. I mentioned 70.

I also asked him if he could check the pressure on my 250 and he said he would give it a try.

I noticed the fuel pump on the rollback has a fitting on the top that kind of looks like a valve stem on a tire and he hooked his guage up to it. I hope he has an adapter for my truck.
