Not knowing the condition of my torque convertor combined with the mileage of the truck makes me want to replace my convertor. Plus I tow a race car and sometimes get the truck confused with the racecar, so it see's double duty on certain occasions. I have had a case of the shudders on slight inclines with the cruise control set. I replaced the fluid and improved but now my doubts are present. I am searching for the right tc for my needs and, of course, the right price and need some input.
Also, while I've got the tranny out, is there anything else I should replace? I heard something of an accumulator (Tricumulator?) that might need to be replaced. I also heard about the Sonnax, but is the tranny programming in the SCMT redundant with a Sonnax? Isn't the Sonnax manually increasing line pressure while the SCMT is electronically doing it?
FYI I am wanting to replace the tc, install a bypass filtration kit, and install a temp gauge all at the same time. I will also be installing the Sonnax if it is still recommended.
Am I forgetting anything?
