wait to start light died

Hi if any one can help i have a 1999 ford F-250 sd 7.3 i had a ***** of a time starting it . it was plugged in after about two times the wait to start light does not come on any more I follow the tips on checking the GPR and replaced it still not working getting ready to order new pcm any ?

Cycle your key on and check your if fuel pump is running. If it is not you may have a shorted fuel heater element. Check for burnt fuses too. The heater element, glow plug light and fuel pump are all on the same fuse.

Check your fuse #30 under the dash. Mine blowed and the fuel heater was shorted causing the WTS light not to come on or even start. If it is blown unhook the connector going to the heater on the fuel bowl. Then go to International and get one that actually works.
INTERNATIONAL # 1831196c92 for a 98-02 heavy duty fuel heater element. If that is the year of your truck. I just got one from Nashville International dealer took 2 days and less than $27.00.
