My hard drive camera is about full so I figure it is time to get these videos onto some DVD's. Does anyone have any recommendations on video editing software?

I am by no means a computer or video guru, but I can figure things out pretty quickly. I am not looking for the cheapest or anything top of the line, but rather the most bang for the buck.

I have a program called Studio 9 that my cousin gave me, but it is the most complicated thing to use and it wouldnt save any changes that I had made.

Thanks

Well, I figured I would try Windows Movie Maker first. I imported my files to it but all it plays is the audio. No picture at all. I cant even get it to play on the Windows Media Player.

Anyone know whats going on?

Keano has the right idea, something like Adobe Premiere is what you want. It is fairly easy to use, but not cheap. Don't go cheap on the software, these are YOUR videos that you want for life.

I use Adobe Premiere, very powerful, relatively easy to use, but it's not cheap.

I am a video production engineer. Adobe Premier Elements is about the most practical video editing software for Windows based pc's. If you have a MAC, get Final Cut.
