Alright folks,

I now know 3 folks personally that are running a veggiblend diesel. We are working right now to stand up a site to sell a complete kit to start your own brew at home and drive your truck for approx 78 cents per gallon once your intitial kit has paid for itself.

Facts seen thus far: Lower engine temperature, cleaner fuel system, cleaner exhaust, nearly NO black smoke, exhaust smells like fries, chicken fried steak, or egg rolls (depending who is supplying your raw veggie oil supply). I will post something once we have it in concrete by the end of the week.

Check back,

Check back,

So Are you just mixing or are you running running WVO?

I do run WVO in my PSD and have mixed Diesel with Veggie oil. I would only recommend mixing if you have a seperate tank, like in my case I had teh stock front and rear tanks. Before you introduce WVO to your cylinders the engine MUST be at operating temp, or you risk coking your rings and possible your injectors.

If you are mixing why would someone need a kit?:dunno

The oil must go through a rigorous filtration process to preclude clogging up injectors and filters in the fuel system.

The kit provides folks that don't have a clue how to start a complete blending and filtration system saving time searching out the correct parts and saves money by them not purchasing the wrong parts.

The kit also provides information on required additives and knowledge gained from others costly mistakes. Information is also provided on how and where to obtain used oil as well as the types of oil to stay away from. For example do not use oil from doughnut shops as there is a high likelihood of sugar accidentally being dumped in the oil which will cause catastrophic engine failure. Knowledge that all moisture must be removed from the fuel as water in the fuel will cause sever piston pitting.
