Hello all:

Looking to purchase a used Ford pick-up truck for my son (first time driver) that I can run on Biodiesel.

Currently making my own fuel and running it in my 04' 6.0L powerstroke.

My concerns are:

Viton versus natural rubber seals- Biodiesel will eventually eat away the rubber.
Computerized versus non-computerized engines.

The simpler the engine, the better. (lower injector pressures than the current powerstrokes)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

TO be honest I cannot remember for sure either but I seem to recall think thinking when I last heard what year it was that all powerstrokes are fine to run BIO because they were OUT of that range...wish I could remember for ya...:sorry

Good Luck,
Casey

the rubber to viton switch was in the 80's, bio diesel runs fine in the PSD, Mine is a very early '95 10/94 production date and I've had no problems running the bio diesel.
