Hi everyone,
Between rainstorms I replaced my uppipe gasket on the passengerside of my truck this weekend. I knew it was loose and leaking.
So i followed previous advice:
Removed the wheel/tire and fender liner.
Then got out the extensions and wobble extensions and airtools and removed the mainifold and the uppipe. Those upper bolts are a real PITA.
When I got it all apart I noticed the uppipe was galled alittle. So I put it back together using some gasket maker goop.
Finally got it all buttoned up.
Used the bigger chevy gasket from NAPA. They didnt have the Felpro one. It was much better than the cheapie I got from Kragen.
I tried to add some pictures to see the old stock, the new NAPA and the cheapie fake Felpro gasket.
It seemed to run really quiet for the test drives. However I am hearing a little exaust leaking when I drove to work today???
