What are the difference in some of the tunes Tony Wildman offers on the re-burns? Such as Economy and Daily, you'd think that you would want to get the best "economy" "daily". Whats the difference between the two? Also Street vs Extreme and Sled Pull vs Heavy Tow. There's only room for 6 tunes and I want to make sure I put in for what I would need. Thanks

Yeah, X3! It is my next planned upgrade (don't ask about unplanned upgrades), and I am totally confused by all these program names. I just wanna good daily driver for economy, something for 7-10k towing, and something with a bit of kick...

Wow, guess this is a common problem. I've just emailed Tony and told him there are some other lost followers and maybe he could shed some light on it. Hopefully I'll hear from him soon.

The info can be found on total diesel performance's page for the chip w/tunes.

Economy is designed to increase your fuel mileage.
Daily is a slightly more powerful version of the economy program that adjusts shift points for driving around town.
Tow is going to be approximately 50hp increase for the 94-97 models and 65ish for 99-03 models.
Heavy tow will have shift points adjusted and an increase in power over the regular tow program.
Street Race is for those pesky imports with the coffee can exhausts.
Extreme is for the track.
Sled pull will have shift parameters adjusted to allow the truck to be in drive and not shift out of 2nd gear
Hi Idle is for the cold days to keep the truck warm and the hot days to keep the truck cool.

Thanks! So I am looking for economy or daily, tow or heavy tow, and street race. I thought he had a no-start setting too? Anyhow, I still don't know how to decide between the first two options!! Decisions...decisions...

I have the no start setting and its pretty pointless. Usually you have the switch mounted where you can flip it while going down the road. So if somebody wanted to start your truck, all they would have to do is flip the switch...wheres the security??? I have it and I NEVER use it. I would be interested in the whisper mode but I don't see it listed.

I'm considering doing the following tunes: Stock
Daily
Tow
Heavy Tow
Street
Extreme
.....I'm not sure about the extreme setting because I'm not sure I'f my truck is moded in the all the right ways to be safe to drive it. I've seen psd on youtube that when set on an extreme setting made the engine lope..kinda like a cam. I may do the economy setting rather than the extreme. Or I may see if he could do the whisper mode.
