Question Turbo

I got what maybe a stupid question but i dont know the answer.A buddy at work has a 06 f350 6.0 an the turbo is out. He has a good turbo off of a 2000 7.3 will they interchange. He bought the truck a week ago and has fought it all week, the local dealer told him the turbo is bad or needs cleaned.

The 7.3 turbo wont fit.more that likely the veins are stuck from rust .look over the internet for the for tsb for cleaning the turbo.if its stuck the leaning will save about 1700$.if this is the issue.
