truck cuts off

alright my 1999 350 has gotten worse now when i start it up it will idle a lil bit but wen i give it gas and let off it just cuts off. ive had problems wiht my cps before and had it taken to the delaership it just seems like the same problems like before. they have also claimed to fix the valve cover wiring harness clips. im just hesistant on taking it back there because of the price they chargei spent 600 on cps job and the valve cover clips.

if Ford performed the work on the valve cover harness and the cps and you paid for it, it is covered for life through ford, almost, but you dont get hit again obviously they missed something. the throttle pedal potentiometer was also a big culprit in early trucks, it would go bad and default to a idle or no run situation, the idle validation switch would fail. they fixed it later with two switches and a comparsion through the ecm to ensure it runs.

i would call the place that did the work and ask if they checked it out. then go to frd.com and look under factory service, or your dealers site and read about the PAY once repair garauntee, you may be surprised, you dont pay for the covered part they fixed any more, thats not to say you dont have a throttle switch in your future just no more vavle cover harness if thats what was replaced.
