I turned the key about 4 times to let it prime up and it started right up, but after running for about 15 seconds, it just quit.

Never could get it to re-start.

What should I do or need to do?

Be careful doing this. Crack loose the top of the engine fuel filter, give it about 1/2 turn. Turn on the key and watch the cap. Stop when you see fuel. NO SMOKING!!! I know you better than that, Bama, but I had to say it. Good Luck.

Is this a half turn from dead tight?

Make it loose, but not too loose. You want to let the air escape with minimal fuel lose.

OK, finally got it started. I took the top filter cap completely off to see if any fuel was there at all.

There was none, so I filled it up with some diesel and it started right up.

Thanks for the help Dave & JL.
